Nuada is a registered Medicare provider. Medicare provides a rebate of $98.95 (from July 2025) per session for clients who are referred by their GP, a psychiatrist, or a paediatrician for treatment of a mental health disorder under the Australian Government's Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. Your GP will need to prepare a Mental Health Treatment Plan before referring you to a psychologist for treatment.

Under the Mental Health Treatment Plan you can receive up to 10 individual sessions in a calendar year. Please note that referrals cannot be provided by your GP for the full 10 sessions. A first GP referral is for a maximum of six sessions. Your referring GP will then assess your progress after the six sessions and refer for a further four sessions if needed.

Fees are well below the AAPI national recommended fee 2024/2025 of $315 for a standard 40-60 minute consult.

Private clients (clients who self refer) may be eligible for rebates for psychological services under a private health fund (if insured).

Please be aware that clients cannot use private health insurance to cover the remainder from their Medicare rebated session. Clients must decide whether they would like to use Medicare or Private Health Insurance to cover part of their psychological services.

Nuada can see clients whose NDIS plan is self-managed or plan managed only, as she is not a registered provider for NDIS. Please refer to National Disability Insurance Scheme for more information.

Nuada does NOT provide court reports. There are psychologists who specialise in court issues and providing medicolegal reports.
